In 2006 Allen Patrick became the runningback starter for the Oklahoma Sooners after Adrian Peterson was injured. Allen Patrick then missed the Texas Tech and Baylor games due to injury. Allen Patrick against the Texas A&M exceeded 100 yards in four games with a best of 173 on 32 carries. Allen Patrick had a long rush of 65 yards went for a touchdown on the first snap of the second half at Oklahoma State. Allen Patrick was a standout on special teams before taking on a central role as a running back. Allen Patrick was credited with four tackles.
